Accident to the Airbus A330 registered HL7792 and operated by Asiana and to the Airbus A321 registered TC-JMM and operated by Turkish Airlines on 14/05/2018 at Istambul [Investigation led by AIB / Turkey]

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Turkish authorities:

The AAR A330 MSN 1001 was taxing outbound from IST airport when experienced ground collision with an A321 from THY (MSN02916) that was Inbound in IST with passengers and in static awaiting parking availability. AAR suffered consistent damages of the RH wing, loss of the winglet and damages to the wing primary structure. The THY A321 had heavy damage at Vertical Stabilizer level. The MSN02916 was Inbound in IST with passengers and in static awaiting parking availability. Both airlines requested Airbus advisories to asset damages and eventually perform repairs on side.
