Preliminary data based on the notification from the United States authorities:

Pilot reported that during a maintenance flight for rotor track and balancing, they were descending from 2,000 feet msl over the shoreline. As the helicopter descended through about 1,700 feet msl, the left rear sliding door opened, separated, and struck the main rotor blades. Pilot initiated a precautionary landing to an open area and landed uneventfully. The cabin door is missing, presumed to be in the ocean. The helicopter was recovered to Blue Hawaiian’s facility and is pending further inspection.
