Accident to the Douglas C54 registered G-APYK operated by Air Ferry on 03/06/1967 on Mount Canigou

After an apparently normal flight, G-APYK was transferred at 20:52 by the South-East ACC on approach to Perpignan.

The aircraft, in good weather conditions, was descending to level 70. It announced itself at point P3 (Narbonne) and gave its estimated time of arrival at Perpignan as 21:10.

The aircraft struck one of the foothills of the Canigou, at approximately level 40, at around 9:06pm.
