Accident to the EC130 registered ES-AME on 06/07/2025 near Vilsandi Island (Estonia)

Preliminary data based on the notification from the authorities of Estonia :
On 06.07.2025 at 11:06 (local time) Airbus Helicopters H130 ES-AME took off from the island of Vilsandi (Estonia) with six passengers and a captain on board with the intention to fly to Suurupi airfield (EESI) under VFR conditions. After 5 minutes of flight the Aircraft reached a thicker cloud front at the altitude of 500ft. The captain decided to descend to avoid flying into the clouds. The captain was not able to control the descent and at 11:11 the aircraft collided with water between the island of Vilsandi and Saaremaa. The floats deployed and the captain and passengers evacuated the aircraft with the helicopter being upside down in water. The captain and the passengers climbed on the bottom of the aircraft and were rescued at 11:35 local time.
