Accident to the helicopter AS355 registered 9M-SSZ on 15/11/2017 at Kota Kinabula [Investigation led by BSKU / Malaysia]

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Malaysian authorities:

During a hover check, the aircraft contacted the tarmac hard causing the forward portion of the starboard skid to break off and the tail rotor to strike the ground. The tail boom suffered tears in its skin in addition to numerous points of buckling.
