Accident to the Kawazaki BK117 registered PK-RGH operated by Eastindo Services on 01/09/2025 at Tapin (Indonesia)

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Indonesian authorities:

At 0045 UTC, PK-RGH departed from Gusti Sjamsir Alam Airport (WAOK), Kota Baru for Tjilik Riwut Airport (WAGG), Palangkaraya and advised the Aeronautical Communication Officer (ACO) that the estimated time of arrival at the destination was 0210 UTC. The Aeronautical Communication Officer (ACO) then advised the pilot to report 10 minutes out. At 0054 UTC, the pilot reported 10 minutes out to the ACO and was advised to contact Banjarmasin Approach Control Unit. At 0058 UTC, the pilot reported unable to contact Banjarmasin Approach Control Unit to the ACO and was advised to report 30 NM out. This was the last recorded transmission from the pilot. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact the pilot, the air traffic services notified the rescue coordination center of the Indonesia Search and Rescue Agency. At 0309 UTC, the air traffic services declared uncertainty phase (INCERFA) and at 0442 UTC, the distress phase (DETRESSFA) was declared.

The helicopter, which lost contact, has been located.
