Le pilote, propriétaire de son autogire, décolle de l'aérodrome privé de Bielsa à destination de celui de St Gaudens pour un vol privé. A 09h50, le pilote téléphone à son épouse pour l'informer qu'il vient de passer la frontière. La trajectoire du vol est orientée sud-nord.
Un témoin situé dans la vallée indique qu'il entend un aéronef sans parvenir à le voir en raison du brouillard.
L'autogire est retrouvé le lendemain matin sur une paroi rocheuse, face au sud, à proximité du village de Jumet (65), à une altitude de 875 m. Le pilote est décédé.

The pilot, the owner of his autogiro, took off from Bielsa private aerodrome bound for St Gaudens for a private flight. At 09h50, the pilot telephoned his wife to tell her that he had just crossed the frontier. The flight path was oriented south-north.
A witness located in the valley stated that he heard an aircraft without being able to see it because of the fog.
The autogiro was found the following morning on a rocky south-facing slope, near the village of Jumet (65), at an altitude of 875 m. The pilot was fatally injured.
