Perte de contrôle lors du décollage, collision avec le sol, en instruction
Cat. 2 investigation report: simplified-format report, adapted to the circumstances of the occurrence and the investigation stakes.
After announcing take-off for a runway circuit to the AFIS officer, the instructor changed his mind during the take-off run as he considered the pilot to be experiencing difficulties holding the runway centreline and was probably tired. The instructor thought he had voiced his wish to abort the take-off but neither the pilot nor the passenger heard him do so.
The pilot continued the take-off whereas the instructor was expecting him to abort it. Surprised to feel the aeroplane taking off, the instructor took control of the aircraft thinking that one of the engines had failed. The investigation was not able to determine with accuracy the instructor’s input on the wheel and the engine power levers, nor with what amplitude.
The aeroplane banked steeply to the right, deviated from the runway centreline at low height, lost height, then collided with the ground.
