Preliminary data based on the notification from the Canadian authorities:
C-GTPF, a Canadian Helicopters Ltd Aerospatiale AS350BA helicopter, experienced a tail rotor strike on takeoff on a flight to Pasadena, NL. The tail rotor appears to have struck ice that had fallen off the skid on departure.
