At 17:29 UTC (22:59 hrs local time) on 10th July 2018, two Indigo Airbus A320 aircraft, IGO 779, VT-IFP, from Coimbatore to Hyderabad climbing passing FL273 for FL360 and IGO6505, VT-ITP from Bangaluru to Cochin climbing passing FL275 for FL280, were involved in an RA incident with each other in HAL Bangaluru airspace .The vertical separation was reduced to 200 to 300 feet and lateral separation was 4 NM. Both the aircrafts reported getting RA and following the RA instruction. IGO 779 also reported that ATS instruction was in conflict with RA.
