Serious incident to the Airbus A320 registered VT-ITQ and operated by Indigo on 21/01/2019 near Lucknow [Investigation led by AAIB / India]

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Indian authorities:

While climbing out of FL120, there was sudden loud bang sound heard by the crew which was followed by engine # 2 stall and high vibrations. The aircraft carried out Air Turn Back and landed at Lucknow. There are internal damages confined to engine # 2.
