Preliminary data based on the notification frorm the authorities of India :
The incident of simultaneous go around of JAI597 and VTI811 from Runway 11 at IGI airport took place when JAI597 went around due to high approach speed, (310 knots at 4.5 nm from touchdown, 350 knots at 13 nm from touchdown and 390 knots at 20 nm from touchdown), the lateral separation between JAI597 and VTI811 was reduced to 0.3 NM when the vertical separation was 400 ft.
