Serious incident to the Airbus A330 registered 9V-SSE and operated by Singapore Airlines on 07/02/2018 en route [Investigation led by TSIB / Singapore]

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Singaporean authorities:

On an A330-300 flight from Dhaka International Airport to Singapore Changi Airport, the flight crew reported sudden loud bang and severe vibration on entire aircraft while climbing from FL290 to FL370 (approximately FL302), while passing over Myanmar airspace. A PAN call was made and Yangon ATC gave radar vectors to nearest suitable airport (Mandalay International Airport/MDL). Aircraft landed at MDL without further incident.
