Serious incident to the Airbus A330 registered HZ-AQ28 operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines on 11/07/2024 at Peshawar

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Pakistani authorities:

Aircraft was holding on taxiway J after landing from r/w 35. Smoke was observed by control tower in the left main gear. Fire services responded and controlled the smoke. Aircraft reported no indication in the cockpit. Thereafter aircraft started to slide towards the runway ahead of taxiway holding point and stopped after entering the fair-weather strip. Aircraft reported unable to apply brakes. Emergency chutes were subsequently deployed to evacuate the passengers.
