On 27 June 2025, the BOEING 737-800, registered ET-AXI and operated by ASKY Airlines, was flying from N'djili International Airport to Lome. Twenty minutes after take-off, the captain reportedly noticed a hydraulic leak in engine number 2, causing a drop in pressure. He decided to turn back and return to the airport of departure. After landing, the fire service noticed a fire in engine number 2 and asked the captain to wait at ramp C while they brought the fire under control.
