On May 6, 2016, V Air passenger flight ZV 252, an A321-200 aircraft, national registration number B-22610, took off from Taoyuan International Airport at 2226 Taipei local time for Haneda International Airport. Shortly after take-off, the flight crew members requested air turn-back due to cabin smoke. The smoke resulted from the burning-out of a non-genuine power bank carried by a passenger. The aircraft returned to Taoyuan International Airport and landed safely at 2321.
