Accident to the gyroplane Artur Trendak Zen1 identified OM-M393 on 19/11/2019 at Chrcynno [Investigation led by SCAAI / Poland]
Perte de contrôle en montée initiale après un posé-décollé, en instruction
Preliminary data based on the notification from the Polish authorities:
Around 12:05 hrs the crew carried out the "touch and go” maneuver. After lift-off, during a steep climb, at a height of about 20-30 meters above the ground, one of the two main rotor blades was torn off. The remaining blade, dynamically unbalanced, immediately collided with elements of the fuselage and empennage, causing their destruction. As a result of the collisions a number of parts separated in the air and the gyroplane, without a main rotor, fell almost vertically and hit the surface of the grass runway. As a result of the collision with the ground, the fuel tanks were unsealed and the wreck immediately caught fire.
