Helicopter experienced an unknown main rotor anomaly resulting in a loss of lift at an altitude of 40 ft. Helicopter made a hard landing, striking the tail rotor on the ground and impacting logging debris resulting in separation of the tail rotor assembly and main rotor blade substantial damage damage.
