The accident helicopter departed from the Juneau International Airport, landed on the Herbert Glacier to pick up passengers, encountered degraded visual meteorological conditions (VMC)
en-route back to the Juneau airport, made a turn back to the Herbert Glacier due to the degraded VMC, and impacted terrain.
