Serious incident to the Airbus A320 registered D-AEWS operated by Eurowings Europe on 30/05/2026 en route (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Preliminary data based on the notification from the Bosnian-Herzegovinian authorities:

While en-route, the aircraft encountered severe wake turbulence generated by a preceding Emirates A380 (SUPER). The encounter resulted in sudden aircraft motion causing injuries to one (1) cabin crew member and five (5) passengers. First aid was rendered onboard by the cabin crew with the assistance of a physician passenger.

The flight crew maintained control and continued the flight to the intended destination (CGN), landing safely.
