Preliminary data based on the notification from the Indonesian authorities:
Upon departure after take-off, the landing gear could not be retracted. The ECAM showed L/G ABSORBER FAULT. Flight crew followed the ECAM action and decided to hold over the point OLVOD to complete the ECAM action. The flight returned to WIJJ. Upon landing, the ATC informed the flight crew that some sparks came out from the nose wheel. The aircraft stopped on the runway, and afterward, it was found that the position of the nose wheel was improper. The passengers and crew members deplaned using stairs on the runway.
