Flight departing from Nouméa-Magenta (988):
During the initial climb, after passing the safety altitude, the crew observed a sudden rise in the cylinder head temperature (CHT) of cylinder No. 5 on engine No. 2.
The crew carried out the "High CHT" procedure, reduced power, and activated the electric fuel pump. They subsequently noticed abnormal vibrations and decided to turn back. After landing, when the crew selected idle power, both engines shut down simultaneously.
